Barleywood is set amongst the North Norfolk Countryside close to Burnham Market, with its popular shops including the famous hat shop and the town of Fakenham with its weekly market, racecourse, cinema, bowling alley, golf course, indoor bowling etc. We are an adult only site and have “electric hook ups” on an acre of secluded meadow with its own wooded area full of snowdrops and bluebells in the spring. We also welcome dogs with well behaved owners! We are close to 43 miles of wonderful unspoilt beaches and numerous dog walks. We are open all year round. We have very good TV and mobile phone reception but not O2. We go digital on the 9th November. We are a Caravan Club listed CL site and are frequently inspected, we have a heated toilet and shower block with washing machine and tumble drier. We have a freezer stocking the basics and for your own use also washing line. Locally there is fishing in South Creake, bicycle hire and numerous wonderful walks, sailing at Brancaster and bird watching at Sculthorpe Moor, Titchwell Bird Reserve and Pensthorpe nature reserve home to Springwatch. The Norfolk Broads are within reach along with Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Hall and its Summer Concerts, Holkham Hall with its walks and deer, summer concerts and Country Fair, Sandringham House and its famous Flower Show in July and Craft Fairs during the year and numerous other local attractions. Visit the Gardens at East Ruston before dining at one of the local restaurants. Dogs are welcome at the Ostrich Inn in the village. On site we have the resident Shetlands Totty and Dotty, who are mother and daughter. We also have chickens and sell any surplus eggs and organic produce from the garden. There is bicycle storage on the site and an information point brimming with local information. We look forward to seeing you in the near future. |
